Applicants must be actively enrolled in a graduate or professional school program, without exception. As a part of the application process, you will be asked to provide documentation that demonstrates your status as a qualified student. We aren't able to make an exception to our policy, since under the law, if we make one exception, then we won't be able to rent exclusively to graduate and professional students in the future.
The property is designed for students who, most of the time, need peace and quiet. Roberson Walk abuts a public housing facility for the elderly and disabled, and is surrounded by residences with low noise levels. There are plenty of party houses around, if you're looking for one, please keep looking!
Roberson Walk apartments can only be rented to groups of individuals who agree to live together as a "tenant family." The Town of Chapel Hill requires that we contract with one group per apartment, and not with individuals within an apartment. Each apartment pays with one rent check.
Two months' rent is required as a deposit, and must be submitted during the application process. We recognize that it's a lot of money. It protects both you and us. Since the contract is with a group, it motivates each member of the tenant family to abide by the contract, thus causing the group to self-manage more successfully.
